This is a fantastic opportunity to come and learn pottery in the beautiful and secluded coastal village of Welcombe in North Devon. The sea is less than half a mile away and there are long stretches of coastal path that offer spectacular views across the vast and ever-changing Atlantic Ocean.

This area is one of the few remaining hidden treasures in the South West of England, largely unpopulated and unvisited, a landscape that is resonant with the forces of nature.

A beginners pottery course with relaxed instruction from the tutor. You can learn and explore some simple methods of making raku pottery without using a wheel. The possibilities are endless using hand building techniques including slab building, coiling and templating you can make all manner of decorative pottery on our pottery courses. You will have the opportunity to make and fire a number of pottery items of your choice and learn how to apply glazes and then go on to raku fire them in our gas raku pottery kiln.

Our basic pottery courses are suitable for complete beginners and can be great fun for everyone. We have scheduled pottery courses for individuals to join and we also can provide a course at other times for private parties and groups of friends or corporate events.
